L'Arche GWDC

Linda Garcia had a great weekend. She especially enjoyed the Confirmed Membership Celebration. She always looked forward to sitting next to Walton at L’Arche events. Sunday morning she got to Skype with James, asking him all kinds of questions about the stray cats and dogs in India. She went to church and had her weekly lunch with her Dad at IHOP. She even went shopping for a new water bottle to add to her extensive collection. She was very much alive!

She spent the afternoon with her Dad and brother. They all watched the Redskins game together. She returned home to Highland house and helped prepare the grocery list for the week, a responsibility she took very seriously.

Later in the evening, she told each person good night and went to bed. Sometime around midnight she passed peacefully in her sleep.

Linda often prayed for her late mother to rest. Linda is now in that eternal rest with her mother and beloved cat Pretty Girl.

As a house and community we are supporting each other, and responding to our changing needs.

Linda’s funeral will be Saturday, January 16th at 2pm at

Christcrossman United Methodist Church,

Visitation will be from 12-2pm at the Church.

A reception will follow, details of which are to come.
