Art Enables, a long-time community partner of L’Arche Greater Washington, D.C., is naming their newest permanent off-site gallery space after L’Arche community member, Maurice ‘Mo’ Higgs!
The Higgs Gallery is the result of a new partnership between Art Enables and The Apollo development project in the H St NE neighborhood and will be located at:
The Apollo
600 H St NE,
Washington, DC 20002
Mo Higgs had been an Art Enables resident artist for many years, only recently retiring from their studio. Art Enables’ Executive Director, Tony Brunswick, spoke enthusiastically about being able to honor Mo in this way, saying Mo really was the perfect example of Art Enables being able to live out their mission in the DC arts community.
Art Enables will be hosting a dedication reception at
The Higgs Gallery
Wednesday, April 19th from 6-8pm.
All are welcome to attend in celebration of Mo Higgs and the opening of this new gallery space!
