| Dear Friends,
At our Advent retreat earlier this month we gathered and shared how we shine our light as people who shine in the darkness. We reminded each other of the need to lift up those around us; to know that each one is not only worthy of the light but that each and every one has a light to shine that the world needs.
These words from Karl Rahner hold much promise over the days ahead:
My love is unconquerable.
I am there.
It is Christmas.
Light the Candles! They have more right to exist than all the darkness.
It is Christmas.
Christmas that lasts forever.

As each of us gathers this Christmas may we all know that we have a light, and that each of us and our light has more right to exist than all the darkness.
